The teeth of a straight-cut bevel gear experience impact and shock loading. Because the teeth of both gears come into contact abruptly, this leads to excessive noise and vibration. The latter limits the speed and power transmission capacity of the gear. On the other hand, a spiral-cut bevel gear experiences gradual but less-destructive loading. Spur-cut bevel gear
